Laguna! -- singer Lydia Nor
Lydia Nor studied voice with Melyssa for two years before fronting and songwriting for Laguna, a "lounge-tronica" band performing around Seattle. Before Laguna, Lydia fronted The Cinematics, but she got her start singing with a band in Japan while she was teaching English there (yes, she sang in Japanese!). Before becoming a singer, Lydia was an oboeist, and minored in oboe performance. Lydia teaches ESL, is fluent in Japanese, and has twin sons, Zakarya and Aziz. Read Lydia's testimonial here, and listen to Lydia's uplifting, sassy voice on the website above.

Zazou -- singer Jessica Logan
Jessica Logan studied voice with Melyssa for over a year. As primary vocalist for the jazz-gypsy band Zazou -- and their acoutic bass player -- Jessica has sung in many of Seattle's best establishments. In addition to being "multi-instrumental," she is also multi-lingual, and speaks and sings in French, Spanish and English at Zazou performances. In addition to Zazou's
heavy performance schedule, at her day job Jessica helps refugees adjust to their new lives. Read Jessica's testimonial here,
and visit Zazou's great website to hear Jessica's heartfelt singing.

Voice teacher -- singer Kristen Ramer
An opera singer and voice teacher, Kristen Ramer studied voice with Melyssa for three years. After completing her music degree at the University of Hawaii, Kristen moved to Seattle and began performing with two groups: The Esoterics (known for their extremely challenging a cappella music) and Straw Into Gold (a close-harmony trio). Soon after, she opened her own voice studio in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle and began lending her finely-crafted mezzo voice to regional opera companies. Read Kristen's testimonial here, and visit her website to read more about her performances and voice studio.

JoeDaddyO -- singer Roderick Overman
Originally a "coffehouse singer," Rod's spectacular high voice and high-energy personality are now leading two Seattle-based swing bands, The Moonlighters and JoeDaddyO. A great swing dancer himself, Rod often gives a quick dance lesson/demo to the audience before shows, with his lovely wife Kaori. Many people don't know that he's also an outstanding massage therapist and avid mountain biker. Read Rod's testimonial here, and visit JoeDaddyO's website to hear his true high tenor voice.

Brian Marshall Band -- singer Brian Marshall
A published songwriter whose songs and voice have been heard on primetime TV, Brian is a largely undiscovered talent - but not for long. His warm, smooth voice and sincere stage personality blend beautifully with his intimate songwriting. A consummate musician who has been performing since 1994, Brian devotes countless hours to perfecting his music. Read Brian's testimonial here, and visit the band website above or the myspace website here to hear Brian's captivating voice.
